MACÉ'S HPP PESTOS AND SAUCES WIN THE ITALIAN FOOD AWARDS 2022
The line won best innovative product in the sauces category
On Sunday 16 October 2022 at La Cuisine, Hall 5B in SIAL Paris, the awards ceremony of the eighth edition of the ITALIAN FOOD AWARDS, an event dedicated to the most innovative Made in Italy products, took place.
Macè's HPP pestos and sauces won the award for best innovative product in the sauces category.
Macè's pestos and sauces draw on the Italian culinary tradition, in this case innovation was recognised in the technology used to stabilise the product.
Most commercially available pestos are pasteurised (treated at high temperatures), whereas Macè pestos are not only cold-processed, but most of the vegetables and herbs are added raw. It is only thanks to the HPP treatment and cold chain storage that the pestos and sauces in this range retain their taste, nutritional values and the freshness of the vegetables and herbs over time. ❄
We are grateful for this recognition, it is deserved by all the people at Macè and in particular the team of young researchers in the R&D department who work daily to realise Macè's Mission: "we want healthy food to be within everyone's reach, every day".
