Recipe: vegan tartlets filled with sliced pears, lychees, and Macè’s spiced hummus

An Elegant and Healthy Appetiser

Ingredients for 12 tarts:

  • Macè’s spiced hummus
  • Lychees or physalis to taste
  • Abate Fetel pears (approx. 2)
  • Flour (250 g)
  • Extra virgin olive oil (approx. 40 ml)
  • White wine to taste
  • Salt

Preparation: 
 
1. 
In a bowl, combine the flour and a pinch of salt. Add the extra virgin olive oil and white wine and knead until smooth and homogeneous. Wrap it in cling film and leave it to rest in the fridge for about 30 minutes.
 
2.
After resting, roll out the dough on a floured surface and use moulds to cut out the canapés in the shape of your choice. Leave room for creativity!
 
3. 
Place the tarts on a baking tray covered with baking paper. For perfect baking, place a tray of water next to the baking tray: the moisture released will prevent the tarts from drying out too much. Bake in a static oven preheated to 180°C for 20-25 minutes, until evenly golden.
 
4. 
Once baked and slightly cooled, spread a generous layer of Macè’s Spiced Hummus on each tartlet. Add thin slices of Abate pear and top with fresh lychees or physalis for an exotic touch.
